IN POWER IS TEMPORARY: Loyalty is not undeviating

“Going up to the summit is optional. But coming down is mandatory” – F.V. Ramos

After, the famous “Not Once, but twice”, this is now the most famous speech in the town delivered in a convocation held by former President Fidel “FVR” Valdez- Ramos for the 2010 Presidential aspirants in Makati City last July 15, 2009.

Former President Ramos—an Administration ally and former instigator of Charter Change during the 90’s—has finally execute his criticism at hints of President Arroyo’s perpetuation in power beyond 2010.

In his statement, “Going up to the summit is optional. But coming down is mandatory”, which is obviously criticizing the rumors about the continuance of Arroyo’s Admin further than 2010 had greatly affected the Administration Bloc in view of the fact that Ramos is an Administration ally and former architect of the Constitutional amendment strategy of power extension.

But since the fact is that, The Arroyonians have nothing to do about it. As a respond to this Arroyo has recently insisted in front to the media that there will be Polls in 2010. But as far as I concerned, the former adviser of the President has just released its great opposing criticism to the policy (Constitutional Amendment—particularly the Power Extension) which the majority of Administration congressmen-- even Cong. Mikee Arroyo—had initiated.

After the dismissal of support performed by Former President Corazon Aquino—Former EDSA Dos element and former Administration ally who withdrawn her support on 2005 during the high of “hello garci” tapes scandal—and former House of Representatives Speaker Jose de Venecia, Jr.—former Cha Cha implementer and former Administration ally who withdrawn is support after being ousted as the House Speaker during the high of ZTE Scandal—is this event would be the hint for another support dismissal?

Well, obviously in politics there are no permanent friends and basically there is no permanent LOYALTY in Politics. See what happened from the previous two Administration allies who were strongly attached to the Government then and now an active oppositionists?

Even your number one ally can become your permanent and number one rival. See what happened to the former top associates, Joseph Estrada and Luis Chavit Singson? Even almost their blood is connected as being best friends, they are still detached by wise circumstances.

In Politics there are no permanent friends, there are no permanent Loyalties and allies because even the two blood-connected peoples, they have their own tastes even the two identical twins, they have that differences because each of us have our own identity.

Finally, do not trust flatterers thus do not also be flattered by most of the time because of them.
